Heybridge Yth Pumas 2
Meadow Youth Under 12's 2

Jamie James (1)
Jon Need (1)

Meadow put the pressure on from the start with an early shot from Rob. Jonny scored twenty minutes into game and Meadow found themselves ahead at half time.

Heybridge equalised early in second half, but the Meadow boys looked determined. Jamie made a lovely run past the defence and scored to put Meadow ahead again. Heybridge equalised again with only five minutes to go. Those final minutes were frantic as Heybridge piled on the pressure, desperate to score but Meadow held their ground and the final result was a draw. A great match, the boys should be proud of themselves.

Full time score 2 – 2

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
